Let me just say this loud and clear—Singapore owes me NOTHING. From the moment I stepped off the plane at Changi (a.k.a. the bougiest airport I’ve ever seen), to the last spicy bite of chili crab at JUMBO, this trip was a whole experience. Let me break it down.
🏨 Where We Stayed: PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering
Let’s start with the stay because baby, this hotel was the moment. PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering is a literal green oasis in the city. Think lush garden balconies, spa vibes, and service that whispered “soft life only.” It was the perfect base—walking distance to hawker centres, MRT stations, and endless photo ops.
Whether we called a Grab or Gojek, rides were always just a few taps away. But honestly? We walked more than we rode because the location was that good. And shoutout to my new favorite travel essential—my Sorel sandals. Stylish, comfy, and gave what needed to be gave. I strolled Singapore in full cute-comfort mode. Period.
💅 First Stop, First Reset: Fifty Freed at Cuppage Plaza
After dropping off our bags, self-care was first on the agenda. We made our way to Fifty Freed for the kind of nail experience that hits soul-deep. I booked with Sinmo, one of their artists, and sis was detailed, delicate, and so incredibly thorough. Every brushstroke felt intentional, like she was painting my peace of mind. Minimalist interiors. Chill beats. The whole vibe was zen with a side of fly.
🥢 The Food? Michelin-level street eats, baby!
I had everything from flaky crab puffs at Amoy Street Food Centre to mango sticky rice that hugged my soul. Tong Ah Eating House served up kaya toast that tasted like grandma’s hug on a plate. IYKYK… WORTH. THE. WAIT.
And yes, we cracked shells at JUMBO like bosses and danced our way to dessert and cocktails at Offtrack. Cocktail game? Immaculate. Music? Vibe-y. Vibe? Even better.

One of the standout moments from the trip? Finding the perfect fine dining spot to celebrate my friend’s birthday. It was giving “grown and glam,” and every course was plated like art. Singapore really knows how to turn a birthday into a production, and we were front row.
